Who is Den Ze!
Deniz, producer, singer songwriter, an improviser who pierces hearts with her outstanding voice. Coming from Istanbul, with her deep ghazal type lyrics, carrying the authenticity in her voice and music, she crosses the limits of genres; builds bridges between pop, R&B soul, electonic, folk in her unique way.
Den Ze, a multi-instrumentalist who studied production and performance at Berklee College of Music with a full scholarship, was honored with the Golden Dove award in 2020 for Best Performer and Best Lyricist with her song “Kokun Şehir Değiştirdiğinde”. Her single “Neylerim,” which she released with Majnoon, featuring lyrics and music of her own, gained widespread acclaim with millions of streams on digital platforms.
Den Ze opened for Dhafer Youssef at the 2021 Dokufest Film Festival in Kosovo, she shared the stage with Teoman at the Kadıköy Live Fest.
Den Ze, known for her original compositions, and unique vividly dynamic style, delivered performances at significant festivals such as Akbank Jazz Festival, İKSV, Istanbul Coffee Fest, Cocktail Fest, Fade In Fest… Her sold out show at Zorlu Touche and performance at Klein Harbiye for earthquake relief received praise.
The recent single release “Moda Disko” with Kazy Lambist touched hearts with unique liquid pop approach with her ghazal lyrics and singing. She has been working on her new releases which are both Turkish& English in discovering her mainstream side in genres of dance, pop; which are full of surprises.
